Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: username, email, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
• Game data: weekly picks, group memberships, and related settings.
• Session: cookies (and on iOS, a secure session) so you stay signed in.
• Usage: first-party analytics via Matomo on analytics.gosprt.com (visits, pages, approximate location from IP). We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data.
• Email: Mailgun sends password-reset mail from mail.underdogpickem.com when you ask for a reset.

Game scores and lines come from ESPN. That is public sports data, not your personal information.

How we use it

• Run the pick'em: sign-in, picks, standings, and groups.
• Reset your password when you request it.
• Understand site traffic and fix problems.

We do not sell your information, run third-party ads, or use it for credit, employment, or other tracking across other companies' apps.

Sharing

Username and picks are visible to other players in groups you join (standings and results). We share data with Mailgun only to deliver reset email, and we host the app and database on DigitalOcean. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and picks until you delete the account. You can delete it anytime at underdogpickem.com/delete-account. That removes your profile, email, picks, group memberships, and sessions right away. Groups you created stay for remaining members, with your name no longer attached as owner.

Encrypted database backups are kept up to 14 days, then expire. After that window your deleted account is gone from backups too.

Children

UnderdogPickem is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
